The Detail Guy is an auto detailing in Salem, Virginia. Auto detailing goes beyond a wash: a full detail typically includes clay bar decontamination, machine polishing to remove swirl marks, a sealant or wax, and a deep interior clean with shampooed carpets and conditioned leather. Detail shops price by vehicle size and condition, and a full interior and exterior detail takes most of a day. Ceramic coatings are a hardened liquid layer applied after paint correction that lasts years rather than weeks and makes washing easier; paint protection film (PPF, or clear bra) is a self-healing urethane wrap that stops rock chips on the hood, bumper and mirrors. Window tint shops apply dyed, carbon or ceramic film to cut heat and glare, subject to each state's visible light transmission limits.

Recently hired Andre for window tinting in one my vehicles. Absolutely amazing work and highly recommend this shop. Throughout the entire process he was professional, cordial and very attentive to every detail. A major plus is he offers saturday hours. Thank you, Andre, for the excellent work and i will definitely be bringing my other vehicles for window tinting and your other services.

This business lives up to it's name with the detail and care he puts into making cars shine. We have taken all our new cars to Andre to get the full Opticoat package and he never disappoints. Our newest car was stunning from the showroom floor but Andre's work just elevates it. If you want ceramic coating don't go with the dealer option, go with the 'The Detail Guy' and you'll be much happier. Can't recommend this business enough.

Andre is the best of the best! He showed up promptly at our scheduled time at my work to pick up my car and take it back to his shop, and I can’t tell you how IMPRESSED I was with the way he returned it. Better than NEW!! Which is really saying a lot because I have 2 kids in car seats who destroy my backseat. Andre was the man for the job! I can’t say enough good things - he’s so nice, so easy to work with, so talented and truly blew my expectations out of the water. The only detail service I’ll use from now on! The before and after photos speaks for themselves!

I can’t say enough great things about The Detail Guy. I’ve been bringing my car here since I first started driving in 2016, and the service has been consistently amazing every single time. Andre, the owner, is fantastic. He’s always friendly, reliable, and easy to work with. It’s clear he genuinely cares about his customers and takes pride in the business he’s built. Over the years, he’s taken care of multiple cars for me, and each one has come back looking spotless. After nearly a decade of trusting him with my car, I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Highly recommend to anyone looking for high-quality, dependable detailing!

There aren’t really a lot of businesses that truly deserve a five star rating but this one does. We had him polish out some flaws in the clear coat and apply ceramic finish on this car. Select one of these pictures and zoom in. He also detailed the interior. Wow, what a great job! Andre is an absolute professional in every respect. He’s very knowledgeable, he’s professional, honest and friendly. He treats the customer like a true customer, and most of all he does absolutely top-notch work. I wouldn’t take my car anywhere else. Thank you Andre!
